This blog’s focus is about how G_d is in the business of turning trash (those difficult and sometimes painful aspects of life) into treasure (His blessings for His people).  It is a place where we can celebrate Yahweh’s (G_d’s) victory through His children both Christian and Jew.  David and his wife are from Christian and Jewish upbringing respectively, and both are believers in Christ, or Yeshua (which is Hebrew for salvation).

The  following verses in the Bible  tell the “short story” of our faith in Jesus the Christ, salvation and experiencing a joy filled life.  The verses below are taken from the Amplified version of the Holy Bible (for clarity).

Isaiah 53:5-7 (AMP) — Christ’s death on the cross was prophesied in Isaiah.  5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well- being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.  6 All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has made to light upon Him the guilt and iniquity of us all.  7 He was oppressed, [yet when] He was afflicted, He was submissive and opened not His mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth.

Malachi 4:2 — 2 But unto you who revere and worshipfully fear My name shall the Sun of Righteousness [Yeshua or Jesus] arise with healing in His wings and His beams, and you shall go forth and gambol like calves [released] from the stall and leap for joy.

John 3:16-17 (AMP) — 16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ( unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.  17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.

Romans 1: 16-17 (AMP) — 16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God’s power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek, 17 For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith.

Matthew 10:32,33 (AMP) — 32 Therefore, everyone who acknowledges Me before men and confesses Me [ out of a state of oneness with Me], I will also acknowledge him before My Father Who is in heaven and confess [that I am abiding in] him.  33 But whoever denies and disowns Me before men, I also will deny and disown him before My Father Who is in heaven.

This blog is just one of the ways we acknowledge G_d’s son and His gift of eternal salvation He freely gives to all who accept Him.

Blessings,  David
